CAREGIVER BURDEN PADA PENGASUH PASIEN DEMENTIA SELAMA PANDEMI COVID-19: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pengasuh pasien dementia sangat rentan terhadap pandemi COVID-19 dan konsekuensinya. Hubungan antara pengasuhan dan beban pengasuh sudah diketahui dengan baik namun dampak pandemi COVID-19 pada caregiver burden di antara pengasuh dementia masih belum banyak diketahui. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kejadian caregiver burden pada pengasuh pasien dementia selama pandemi COVID-19. Metode: Artikel penelitian ini merupakan sebuah literature review. Pencarian dilakukan pada Juli 2021 yang bersumber dari dua dtatabse yaitu PubMed dan Science Directs mencari artikel yang relevan dan dipublikasikan sejak 2020  sampai 2021.  Hasil: Dari total 252 artikel terpilih 11 artikel yang diolah. Kejadian caregiver burden pada pengasuh pasien dementia ditemukan selama pandemi COVID-19. Faktor yang mempengaruhi caregiver burden selama pandemi COVID-19 adalah faktor yang terkait pengasuh seperti jenis kelamin, usia, tingkat pendidikan, faktor psikologis dan faktor terkait perawatan pasien selama pandemi COVID-19 dan faktor terkait pasien seperti keparahan kondisi pasien dementia. Kesimpulan: Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadinya caregiver burden selama pandemi COVID-19 dan banyak faktor risiko yang menajdi penyebab kejadian burden. Intervensi lebih lanjut kepada pengasuh dibutuhkan untuk mengurangi kejadian caregiver burden.
